Sunshine, Blue Skies, and the Custody School Bus

We are going to go backwards today! ZUMBA!!!!

Is there anything happier?! I think I smiled and laughed for a full hour! These nutty Hawaiians might be onto something, not that we don’t have it on the mainland, but it is THE thing to do here it seems! And for good reason I might add!

I was just as uncoordinated as I’ve ever been and rhythm … well, we all know that has never been a strong suit of mine ;) It didn’t matter though … so right now if you are picturing me with my long legs and arms flailing about in a fashion that makes you scared for your life, or just your face, you are in the right place. Oh and all of the awkward thrusts and dips … I did ‘em…errr…. kind of. It wasn’t pretty but I had the BEST time and I would do it every day if I could!! Rose was our instructor and I think that Rochelle goes to only her classes … everyone just minds there own business, laughs at themselves and shake it! (Mom, Lauren and Baileigh — we did my signature move!!!!!!) Rose called me out. A lot. I couldn’t help but just stare with my mouth wide open when she did some things … how in the hell do you move that way? So when I did attempt it after she saw me staring, she just laughed … and told me my tassels weren’t spinning … OH and by the way, I am 90% sure I was the only person in the class that had tassels on besides Rose. I’m not going to lie, I had tassel envy … Rose’s tassels were LONG! Rochelle and Sue were SO much fun … I was a little nervous and I started going through every excuse of how I could get out of it in my head, needless to say… I am THRILLED that I went.

I’m not sure that I ever got my tassels to spin, but I do know I shook and wobbled and jiggled and shimmied my butt off! … I guess that means there will be a lot more Zumba in my future … perhaps I can talk my slumber party frands to zumba with me tomorrow! After all, Denise is an instructor on Maui … it only seems fair … right Denise? (Thanks again for making sure I looked supa fly for my first Zumba class!!!)

The rest of my day was great, I got to see that custody school bus, after which this blog is named, I felt weird taking pictures but the 5-0 didn’t seem to care. Annie actually had to let me in through the back today and that’s why I saw them, I was all nervous to walk by the school bus — I don’t know why … guys in chains, I’m sure they’re sweet!

Went to lunch with Sue, Annie, and Daniel — we wandered to Pioneer Plaza, and on our way walked through a little outdoor market area that I guess is there Tuesdays and Fridays …. I will definitely be going back there to snoop around!

I can’t believe tomorrow will be a full week back in the 808! That means there are only two left … and the list of to-dos just keeps growing!! Eek.

That is all I have for this incredibly unorganized post! Now it’s time to get busy planning funtivities for after work on Saturday and Sunday!
And sleep…. Like this guy…
